Big event of the weekend? Tesco Tin Collection

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the tin collection at Tesco Extra Hattersley this weekend.

I think we booked it before the wedding but we had a steady flow of donations through Friday and Saturday and collected 4.5 cages of food.

Tesco staff (as always) were  helpful keeping us supplied with boxes.

The customers were  generous – some gave us more shopping than they took home with them.

The volunteers were marvellous – working hard and smiling through it all.

We will take the food to the warehouse on Tuesday and will weigh it then. So we will keep you posted on the final figures.
