Thank-you to everyone who gave and volunteered over the Christmas period.
Tesco shoppers gave 1.5 tonnes of food to our Christmas collection and we gave out 1.8 tonnes of food in December.
We provided 81 parcels in December – 47 of which were for families of primary age children who often struggle during the holidays when the kids do not get school lunches.
We had lots of Christmas biscuits, mincepies, ham and selection boxes to brighten up the parcels.
The Tameside Toy appeal gave us some lovely cuddly toys and games so we were able to help some parents who were struggling to provide presents.
So hopefully we were able to make sure the Christmas spirit spread a bit wider this year.
