food to be given to local families in crisis. That’s 160,000 meals. If each meal was a tin of beans and they were laid end to end they would stretch to central Manchester.

He will be greatly missed at the foodbank – we will need at least 2 people to replace him on the Trustees as well as all his work day to day making sure that food gets where it is needed.

It was Michael who arranged the finance, design and building of our warehouse at Hattersley Baptist Church. Without this building we do not think that we would be able to meet the increasing demand of the last couple of years.

We wish him and his wife a very happy retirement.
